Group Meets 2nd Wednesday of each month

Mission: To provide a safe, comfortable, engaging environment where people with memory loss and their partners can laugh, learn, and remain socially engaged with others traveling the same journey.
Who is the Memory Cafe for?
People with a dementia related diagnosis
People with mild cognitive impairment
People who are concerned about their memory
Family members and care partners of people with memory issues
There are 5.4 million people in the US with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and this is expected to increase with the aging of the baby boomers. This diagnosis impacts not only the individual, but their care partners and other family members as well. There is still a lot of living to do after diagnosis and the Memory Café hopes to promote this and restore a sense of “normalcy” for both the person with the diagnosis and those that love them. Please join us for our fun, informative support group.

Memory fitness programs will be offered as well as leisurely fellowship.
Light refreshments will be served.

If you are a caregiver of a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease, or have been recently diagnosed with the disease, Emeritus at Stonebridge welcomes you to join our monthly support group the fourth Tuesday of each month from 6:00 – 7:00 PM.

In addition to peer support, the group also invites specialists in the field who can answer questions about Alzheimer’s disease, its causes, how a diagnosis is made and current research, as well as coping mechanisms for caregivers.

Please contact Megan Graf, Memory Care Director at 214-691-7400 for more information and suggestions for such a group. Emeritus at Stonebridge is located at 9271 White Rock Trail in Dallas.

Family Eldercare's Lifetime Connections Without Walls program (LCWW) offers socialization, brain fitness activities and educational presentations to homebound older adults who are socially or physically isolated in the community. Older adults join in from their homes using their telephone and dialing a toll free phone number and an access code. Older adults also have the opportunity to have a volunteer facilitator connect them to the group call. Participants join in from all over the state of Texas and other states in the U.S and also our neighboring country Canada. Our oldest participant is 97 years old and youngest is 50 years old. Volunteers can join in from home or work or come to our office to facilitate the call.

Do you know of a client, family member, neighbor who is physically or socially isolated and lonely at home? Help spread the word about the program.
